AARP Tax Preparation

We are pleased to announce that for the 2026 tax season AARP Tax-Aide will have appointments available at the following locations:

Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library, 1120 Stafford Rd., Plainfield, IN 46168, on Mondays and most Thursdays beginning February 2 through April 9, 2026.

Brownsburg Public Library,  450 S Jefferson St, Brownsburg, IN 46112 on Tuesdays February 3 through April 7, 2026. 

We ask that you please do NOT call the Hendricks County Senior Center or the Plainfield and Brownsburg libraries with tax preparation questions.

Appointments can be made online through the link below.

Appointments will be available beginning January 19, 2026.

This is the most efficient and preferred way to book an appointment.  Go to "Search for AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Locator," select your preferred location and continue to book your appointment.

Appointments can be made via phone after January 19th 2026 using the phone numbers below:

For appointments at the Plainfield Library: Call 317-839-6602  ext 2 to speak with a library staff member

For appointments at the Brownsburg Public Library:

Call our AARP volunteer phone line at 317-406-7129.  After January 19, leave a message and an AARP volunteer will return your call within 3 days.  Volunteers will not return phone calls from messages left prior to January 19, 2026.

Once registration is confirmed, you will receive an email with further instructions for packet pickup. Packet pickup is done with AARP during their available times at the library.
