Program Description

Event Details

Join us for a new BOOK CLUB for grades 3-5! For the months of August - April, we will meet and discuss one of the Young Hoosier Intermediate Nominated books. In April, we will vote on our favorite and submit our votes to the Young Hoosier Book Committee. In order to be eligible for voting, a member must have participated in at least five meetings, or read at least five nominated books.

This month's book is "Escape at 10,000 Feet: D.B. Cooper and the Missing Money" by Tom Sullivan. Still an unsolved case today, this is the story of how a man known as D.B. Cooper hijacked an airplane in 1971 and parachuted to freedom, never to be seen again.

Books can be checked out from the children's desk in advance of this club meeting. Registration is required, but walk-ins will be welcomed based on space availability.
