Come celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day! We’ll share two books about his work for equal rights for Black Americans and how his words have inspired others to work for justice and love. January 15 is Dr. King’s actual birthday. If he were still alive today he would turn 92. We will wish his memory a happy birthday together with a song.
This is a LIVE Zoom meeting. Please register with an email to receive the Zoom meeting link for the book read and celebration.
Take & Make Sacks will be available for the first 20 registrants to create pipe cleaner word art. Please indicate grade level of participant when registering. Pick up sacks starting Friday, January 8.
- Sacks for K-2 include a pre-made pipe cleaner word (peace, love, hope, or dream) for the child to wrap with provided yarn.
- Sacks for grades 3-5 include materials and directions for creating their own word art.
Waitlisted registrants will be able to attend the live Zoom book read but will not have a sack available for them.
