Do you have something you want to share with a group? Such as...strong opinions about who Rory should've ended up with in Gilmore Girls, a niche historical event you know WAY too much about, or which Pokemon would look the creepiest in real life?
We want to hear what you're an expert on! "Stand on a Soapbox" is a blend of a Powerpoint Party and a debate club - you can choose to bring a Powerpoint to share with the group about any topic (keep things appropriate, please), but we'll also do some on-the-spot, silly debates to get your creative juices flowing! If you LOVE to yap, this is the program for you!
If you'd like to present a Powerpoint, please email it to kbergmann@bburglibrary.net in advance to be approved. Any presentation format should work - Google Slides, Prezi, Ppt, etc. Please keep presentations to 5 minutes or shorter.
Open to ages 11-19, grades 6-12. Registration is required.
