What is Diabetes?

What is Insulin?

What is Insulin Resistance?

Who May Have Insulin Resistance?

What are the conditions associated with insulin resistance?

Insulin resistance can be improved and even reversed by making changes to one’s diet and lifestyle.   Dr. Mercy Hylton from Mind Over Metabolism will discuss all the above questions.  Her plan is to guide you off the “Road to Diabetes” and find your path to a longer and healthier life.*

*Please note this program is a brief introduction into the topic.  for more information you will have to book a private consultation with her.

Dr. Hylton received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Oklahoma (1997) before attending medical school at the University of Oklahoma (2001). She completed a dual residency in emergency medicine and pediatrics at Indiana University (2006) and is double board-certified in emergency medicine and pediatrics.  After practicing general emergency medicine and pediatric emergency medicine as an attending physician in the Indianapolis area for many years, Dr. Hylton decided to shift the focus of her practice from treating patients during health emergencies to helping patients heal the root cause of many health problems (and potentially avoid some emergency visits)!
