“What goes best with a cup of coffee? Another cup!” said Henry Rollins. Have you ever walked into a coffee shop and been overwhelmed by the options - Americano, Drip, French press, Pour over, Cold brew???? Or seen a piece of brewing equipment and had no idea what it is or how to use it?
Celebrate National Coffee Day by attending this workshop. You'll walk away with a greater understanding of the art and science of brewing better coffee at home or knowing what to get at a coffee shop.
Part 1: Journey of the coffee bean - What's the difference between specialty (local) coffee and corporate coffee? You'll be able to see and feel the various green coffee beans and realize that no two coffee beans are the same.
Part 2: Home brewing - Coffee brewing equipment, the various ways to make coffee at home, and how each piece of equipment impacts coffee making at home.
Join Scott Soltys-Curry of the Indianapolis Coffee Guide to ask your questions about brewing coffee and see him make a few types - and maybe even taste and compare the differences.
