Hey Lego Club pals, Happy New Year - AGAIN!
Yep, it's February and that means it's CHINESE NEW YEAR where we ring out the old - the Year of the Rat - and ring in the new - the Year of the Ox!
Since we still can't get together in person, let's see what we can create with the LEGOs we have AT HOME to share with each other until we can see each other again!
For this month's "Master Builder" challenge I'd like you to create something out of LEGOs that you associate with Chinese New Year!
What can that be? Chinese New Year traditions include a lantern festival, lots of shopping, gifts of money in red envelopes, special foods for good luck, parades, and of course, fireworks. Use your imagination and SHOW me (and your LEGO pals) what you've come up with!
I found this helpful website that tells all about Chinese New Year festivities if you'd like to take a look:
https://chinesenewyear.net/
I've got some ideas myself! I can't wait to show you and to see what all of you come up with!
When your grown-up signs you up be sure they include an email address. The morning of Lego Club I'll send out the Zoom meeting info to everyone who registers so we can see each other and share what we've made!
Lego Club is for kids 5 to 10. Registration is required so I can share information with those who plan to attend our Zoom meeting. Hope to see you then!
