Event Details

Join us for a historic afternoon to celebrate Hendricks County's Bicentennial! In the commons area, come listen to our featured speakers on the hour.

1PM- Roundtable with the authors of the new Hendrick's County history book

2PM- Linda Lichte Cook- Author of Brownsburg

3PM- Frankie Konovsek- Co-author of The Village of Brownsburg

Bring old photos, yearbooks, and other memorabilia to share your stories of living in Hendricks County in our Memory Lane Lounge! Have a pressing question about what ever happened to a store, or what used to be somewhere? Ask a Brownsburger! Our resident expert Andy will be here to answer all your questions.

For one day only, catch a glimpse at rare, historical items usually kept hidden away in our closed collections. From Victorian hair art from the descendants of Brownsburg pioneers to original photos and hundred year old newspapers, take a peek at the kind treasures that keep our history alive.

And finally, don't forget to stop by the original Carnegie desk to see our librarian from the past! She will have take and makes for the kids to make a covered bridge at home, and can tell you what life was like at Brownsburg Public Library "back in her day."
