Event Details

Has everyone met my friend Marcel the Shell?  He's a silly little seashell with one googly eye and two tiny red and white shoes.  For this TAKE & MAKE program, kids 6 to 10 can make their own Marcel the Shell and send him (or her) on adventures around their house!

Stop by the library any time between 10 AM and 6 PM * on Thursday, June 18th and pick up a FREE bag of seashells, clay, googly eyes, and other surprises plus an instruction sheet with some ideas for creating little seashell pals.  You can customize your little shell friend any way you like.  You can even make other shell creatures.  It's totally up to you! 

And if you'd like, please share pictures of your shell friend's adventures by emailing us at AskUs@bburglibrary.net so the other kids at BPL can see what they've been up to!

Registration is required so we'll know how many TAKE & MAKE bags to prepare. 

Be as creative as you can be and have loads of fun!

* Curbside service is available from 11 AM to 6:30 PM.  Please note that any bags that are unclaimed by 6:30 pm June 18th may go to wait-listed registrants. **
