Event Details
All families of children with special needs are welcome to experience the library all to themselves.
Families are always welcome at the library, but we understand that a visit to the library can be more difficult for some families. Bright lights and large crowds can be overwhelming for some children. Our hope is that the Sensory Friendly Browsing Hour can lessen these distractions and help make visits to the library fun and worry free. Families can enjoy a quieter atmosphere, smaller crowds, some sensory play experiences, and extra confidence in knowing that their children are welcome to use our resources in a manner that best suits them.
Join us for Movement Camp, a sport and play program for children with and without intellectual disabilities ages 2 to 7 years old. Registration is required for this portion of Sensory Friendly Browsing Hour.

Please note: this is a special event for families with special needs - the library is not open to the general public during this time frame. Thank you for understanding.
