Join us for a meet-n-greet with Brownsburg native Brad Fischer as he discusses his debut memoir The Sand Bucket List: Lessons for Living Life and Facing Death.
At the age of forty-six, Brad Fischer was diagnosed with stage 4 gastric cancer. Faced with a life expectancy of only one year, Brad realized all the things in life he hadn't done yet. But as the months passed, he realized what he hadn't done yet didn't need to be done. There were more important things.
In his book, Brad dismisses the inclination of finding joy and purpose in life by creating “a bucket list". In its place, he provides a practical and uplifting choice: “the sand bucket list". Brad’s life stories are not only insights into his sense of humor and personality. His life stories can be important examples for anyone suffering or needing to find peace, comfort, and joy.
Brad's memoir is not about fighting cancer or dying. It’s a manual about life and living.
